“rising from ashes to be a shining star in north Alabama”

Did you know that northwest Alabama is the home of one of the nicest, well-equipped flying sites in the Southeast? The Quad Cities R/C Club (QCRCC) is the operator of a beautiful complex located on the Colbert County Landfill, complete with a 400 feet asphalt runway, a covered shelter with bathroom facility and water, and safety fencing. This modern, family friendly complex is open 365 days a year and is accessible to QCRCC members 24 hours a day. We have an open membership policy and welcome anyone interested in joining our club to visit us and see what we have to offer. You can find us most every weekend, weather permitting, at the field. All types of aircraft are welcome (electrics, glow, gas, or helicopters). We look forward to seeing you join us.

QCRCC is made up of a wide range of members who come from all walks of life. Many retirees have found satisfaction in building and flying R/C models, and nothing creates as many fond memories as a father and son building and flying their first R/C plane. QCRCC has members who are willing to help teach you to fly these aircraft and to make recommendations based upon their experiences. Training is free, and if the aircraft are available you are welcome to stop by any time at the field for an introductory flight. Some people master model flying very quickly, while it may take others a little more time. Our members are eager to help you and welcome you to our facility. Sit under the shade, enjoy the show, and talk about what we love best. Take the time to investigate what is available and hear from others who currently fly the types of models you may be interested. There is a great source of hobby materials available here in the area at Hobbytown USA, and a wealth of information and training as well. Come join us and see what you have been missing!!
